2018 NOAC Patch Design

In 2018 NOAC (National Order of the Arrow Conference) will be happening once again at Indiana University. At the 2015 NOAC most of our fundraising was done through patches and having a really good design on the patch that would sell. Because of that the fees were reduced around $150 for each person that was attending.

Conasauga Snorkeling Trip - July 8

Posted on Jun 3 2017 - 11:59am

TQB has an opportunity to join Troop 827's Conasauga Snorkeling trip on Saturday, July 8th.  This is a day trip to the Conasauga River in the Cherokee National Forest, home to an incredible diversity of fish and wildlife.  In the clear, shallow waters of the snorkeling site, it is typical to see 15-20 species on any given day.  Over 45 species of fish have been documented at or near this single site.  Freshwater drum as large as 6 pounds swim in schools in the deep pools; sporting fish, such as bass and bream, are seen in their natural habitats.  Colorful darters and shiners may be seen spawning and feeding. Turtles, tadpoles and salamanders are all usually present.

Button Gwinnett District's Cub Scout Day Camp Needs Volunteers - Youth & Adults

Posted on May 25 2017 - 8:24pm

Cub Scout Day Camp: June 12 - 16, 8:30am-4:00pm
Location: Duluth First United Methodist Church, 3208 Hwy. 120, Duluth, GA

Abigail Krieger, the Camp Director, is reaching out to the TQB OA Chapter and Crew 9236 to see if some of our members would be interested in volunteering for Cub Scout Day Camp.

This year they have a new Den Chief program! They also need youth volunteers in the program areas. Day Camp would also love to have our OA and crew Scouts teach Outdoor Skills, since that is an area of your expertise. Who doesn't like to build a fire?

Really, anything you'd be interested in doing could be incorporated into the program. Just make a suggestion!

Below are links for registration (all volunteers MUST register) and Den Chief training (if you've not already done it).

Remember - you guys are like supermen to these Cub Scouts! They admire you immensely! Here's a great opportunity to grow the Cubs' excitement for and love of Scouting.

If you have any questions, please e-mail Ms. Krieger at the address listed below. Feel free to share this information with any Scout, Scout leader, or Scout parent who might have an interest in helping at Cub Scout Day Camp.
