HELP NEEDED FOR AOL & Crossover Teams!!!

Posted on Feb 7 2012 - 6:33pm

BROTHERS!

TQB has always fielded the finest AOL and Crossover Teams in the AAC. The season for this service is FAST upon us and the teams are in DIRE need of members.

This is a great opportunity to provide a service to the Cub Packs in our District and get your feet wet for other ceremony teams at the same time.

Contact Nick Laudenslayer, Isaac Goodspeed, Mr Ski, or Mr Fisher very very quickly. A little work provides an excellent service and is fun to boot.

Isaac and Nick will be pressing hard for your help in the next few days and I hope you will step up and answer the call for help.

Posted on Feb 7 2012 - 6:33pm

TQB Elections Team volunteers are needed.

Mark Owens NEEDS YOUR HELP WITH ELECTIONS!!! Please contact him and find out when he has elections scheduled and volunteer on the evenings you're available.

At least one adult leader and two Scouts must be at each election. You cannot help conduct an election at your home troop.

PAY DUES & REGISTER FOR UPCOMING EVENTS NOW!!!

Posted on Feb 7 2012 - 6:32pm

January kicks off several months of Chapter activities. It's time to get your calendars organized.

If you haven't done so already, go to the Egwa Tawa Dee website [ http://www.aacegwa.org/arrowmenregistration.htm ] and pay your 2012 Dues. We will be purging all non-registered members from our contact lists at the end of the month.

Also, remember to register for the Lodge springtime events you'll be attending. Have your dues and registration completed by this month's Chapter meeting so we can get a head count. Powwow, Conclave, and Woodruff Ordeal should be on everyone's list.

We need all youth and adult members at the January Chapter meeting as we begin an inventory of our Ceremonial regalia and planning regalia/equipment workdays for February. This will be a huge undertaking, so we need "all hands on deck."

We're looking forward to a great season and we need you to be a part of it.

Scholarships for Eagle Scouts Who are Active OA Members

Posted on Feb 7 2012 - 6:32pm

Jan 5, 2012 – Originally founded in 1997, the Ostrander Scholar Society provides college scholarships to Eagle Scouts who are active members in the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society.

Effective Jan. 1, 2012, the scholarship program is now nationwide.

The Society currently governs a scholarship called the Josh Sain Memorial Scholarship, named in memory of the 1997 National Order of the Arrow Vice Chief. The Society is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization that is administered by a volunteer staff and volunteer board of directors.

With tuition costs on the rise, this scholarship helps to defray some of the expenses incurred while earning a degree. The program also honors those who grasp a true volunteer spirit.

“We are excited to take our scholarship program to the next level. By going nationwide, we’ll be able to honor many Eagle Scouts who believe in giving back to their communities,” said Wallace Ashley, board secretary.

For more information, please contact the Ostrander Scholar Society at 307-757-7385 or visit them online at: www.OstranderScholars.org
